Jim is a seasoned financial professional with over 35 years’ experience focused on business operations in the wine industry, technology and start-up companies. Jim has held positions as President, COO, CFO and Controller for numerous companies throughout his career. Jim leans on his World Class Manufacturing training (or industry best practice) to achieve significant gains in quality, efficiency and cost reductions for his clients.
Over the course of his career Jim has established an extensive network of contacts throughout the US and Europe; encompassing commercial and investment banking, accounting professionals, product distribution, contract manufacturing and logistics.
Jim began his career with Carlson Companies in 1979 (a Fortune 100 Company headquartered in Minneapolis, MN) before moving West and settling in the Napa Valley. Jim spends the bulk of his free time outdoors, with a focus on skiing, tennis and golf.
Kathleen McGrath Williams
Kathleen has provided high level accounting and controller services to wineries and vineyards for over 25 years, and has over 30 years of comprehensive finance, accounting, management and human resource experience. Among her clients are some very prestigious wineries and vineyards, many of whom have been clients for well over a decade.
Her financial experience and skills include comprehensive accounting, human resources, compliance, trust accounting, audits and general business management and administration. She has supported clients in numerous workers comp and sales tax audits, and provided evidence in many audits to substantiate reduced assessments. This ability stems from a focus on internal systems, organization and diligence. Kathleen’s limitless energy and resourcefulness has also led her to successfully advocate for the disadvantaged.
Kathleen started her career managing an elite Inn in the Napa Valley, where she gained hands on experience in personnel development and HR compliance, as well as P&L and general management. She also served as a Financial Analyst for a leading investment firm in Silicon Valley before returning to the Napa Valley. She is passionate about singing, tennis and skiing and has recently picked up the lifelong hobby of learning to play golf.
Kyrsta Scully, CMA
Kyrsta Scully joined Carbonneau Williams in February 2016. Kyrsta earned her BS in Commerce at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, with majors in Finance and Marketing. Kyrsta served for more than 25 years in the luxury hotel industry, primarily as an Executive-Level Director at chains including Four Seasons, InterContinental, and Auberge hotels and resorts. As a Director of Food and Beverage, Kyrsta was responsible for the financial performance of her divisions, with up to $24 million in annual food and beverage revenue and up to 220 employees.
In 2016, Kyrsta decided to focus on her accounting strengths and began working as a financial analyst working with wineries. Kyrsta earned her CMA, Certified Management Accountant, credential and is a member of the Santa Rosa chapter of the IMA, the Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business.
Kyrsta started her career at the Willard Inter-Continental Hotel in Washington, DC. Kyrsta enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time outdoors with her family.
Cindy is passionate and committed to aiding small business owners with their financial needs. Cindy moved to the Napa Valley over 10 years ago and has been working as a bookkeeper for both non-profit and private sector industries. She received her BBA degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX, with a major in Marketing. She has developed strong professional business relations in the Valley through her professionalism, positive attitude and attention to detail.
Cindy’s experience in accounting and bookkeeping has made her proficient in QuickBooks software. Cindy works daily managing cash flow, accounts receivable and accounts payables for multiple clients. She also has expertise in bank and credit card reconciliation and payroll. Prior to her career in accounting, Cindy gained in-depth knowledge in hospitality and customer service.
Cindy stays actively involved volunteering in her community. Cindy spends her free time enjoying the outdoors and activities with her family.
